Covid-19

To help to protect your loved ones.  Download the NHS Covid-19 app, which is now available to download in England and Wales, it is the fastest way to see if you and your family are at risk from coronavirus.  The faster you know the risks, the quicker you can alert and protect your loved ones and your community.

The app has a number of tools to protect you, including contact tracing, local area alerts and venue check-in. It uses proven technology from Apple and Google, designed to protect every user’s privacy. Read more about how they protect your data and privacy.

COVID 19 RECOVERY

Contracting Covid-19 can effect many people in different ways, both mentally and physically.  To support you with your recovery, the NHS has launched a website called ‘Your Covid Recovery‘, which gives helpful advice about what to do and who to seek guidance from.

Your symptoms should get better over time, some may take longer than others, but there are things you can do to aid your recovery.
Your Covid Recovery helps you to understand what has happened and what you might expect as part of your recovery.

NHS 111 online should be used where possible for general information on Coronavirus. Please follow the link below:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 PLEASE DO NOT BOOK a face to face appointment at the surgery or attend any GP or Hospital premises. Contact 111 for further advice. If you are unsure please phone the surgery and a GP will call you back to discuss.

Can we remind you, if you are contacting the surgery with a temperature or cough, you also need to book a PCR Covid test via 119 or the government website. (the lateral flow test is not adequate as it is only for patients with no symptoms).  This also includes children.  Your household will also need to self-isolate until the test result is back.

Due to Covid-19 measures, until further notice Marlborough Surgery will be telephone triaging all GP and Nurse Practitioner appointment requests. If we still need to see you face to face then the GP will arrange that with you. It would greatly help us at the surgery if as many queries as possible could be dealt with online. Please DO NOT visit the surgery unless we have asked you to do so. With your assistance we hope to return to usual service as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience

Coronavirus (COVID-19) and requests for fit notes (Med3)

If you are requesting a sick note from your GP in relation to being off work, by law, medical evidence is not required for the first 7 days of sickness. For any period of illness less than 7 days you can self-certify.

If you have been told to stay at home because of coronavirus and you need a note for your employer follow this link  https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note
